We walk the space with you, room by room. We check wall condition, measure ceiling height, count the trim and the doors, and note anything that needs repair first. You hear what we found and what it means for the price before we leave.
Free colour hour
A trained colour designer spends an hour with you at no charge, working from what you are keeping: floor tone, worktops, cabinet finish and the light the room actually gets. You leave with specific colour and sheen picks, written down.
We protect everything before we open a tin
Furniture moves to the centre of the room and gets covered. Floors run with canvas drop cloths, taped at the baseboard. Switch plates, outlet covers and door hardware come off rather than getting cut around. Anything you would rather move yourself, tell us at the estimate and we plan around it.

Prep
Fill nail holes and cracks, sand smooth, caulk the gap where trim meets wall, then spot-prime every repair. Water marks, smoke and marker get a stain-blocking primer, because those bleed through finish paint however many coats go over them. Almost always yes. We work room by room, keep walkways clear, and clean up at the end of every day so the house stays usable while the job runs.
How long does a room take?
Usually one to three days including prep and dry time. Ceiling height, repair work and coat count decide where in that range you land. You get a realistic window at the estimate, and a call if anything changes.
Do you move furniture?
Yes. We move it to the centre, cover it, and put it back where it was. Anything fragile or very heavy, flag it at the estimate and we agree a plan.
Do you paint ceilings?
Yes, including repairing and texture-matching any damage first. Ceilings get a flat finish so downlights do not pick out every imperfection.
What about the smell?
Modern low-VOC acrylics are much milder than older paints. We ventilate as we go, and most rooms are comfortable to use the same evening.
Will the same crew be there each day?
Yes. Your job is staffed by our own employees, and the same crew stays on it from prep through to the final walkthrough.
What time of year is best for interior painting?
